This morning, Wilco released a new music video for their song, “Dawned On Me” off of their critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated album, The Whole Love. Featuring Popeye-fied animations of the members of Wilco and the green, gobbling fiend himself, the old school style and the whimsical story serve the song well. This cartoonish collaboration was conceived by the video’s director, Darren Romanelli, fashion and pop culture innovator.
Also interesting to explore is the website that Wilco rolled out with the video. It features an about section, links to a free download and an iTunes session, and a few other goodies, including the can of a new brand of spinach that’s “coming soon.” Check out the video below (and Jeff Tweedy gettin’ some Olive Oyl goods).
